Bennie Raymond Galyon, Jr.

Bennie Raymond Galyon, Jr., 56, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at his home.  Born April 9, 1957 to Bennie Galyon Sr. and Connie (Prest) Galyon, in Detroit, he was raised in Novi. He was a longtime resident of Novi, where he worked as a general contractor. On January 10, 1997, he married Cindy Carter in Ohio, and they lived in Novi until moving to Harrisville in 1999. Ben loved the out of doors, especially the White Pine trees, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a skilled craftsman, and especially enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the Alpena Hopper Lodge #199 F. & A.M. He loved his family, and was a great father and leader.  He is survived by his wife, Cindy, two sons, Jake Galyon of Houghton MI, and Benjamin Galyon of Harrisville, his mother, Connie Galyon of Greenbush, his aunt Elaine (Joe) Tocco, and one brother.  Private memorial services have been held.
