Gloria M. Berg, 65, of Greenbush, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her home. Born November 5, 1948 to Frank and Genevieve (Nowicki) Miks in Alpena, she was raised in Killmaster. A 1966 graduate of Alcona High School, she attended Ferris State University. Gloria worked at the Wurtsmith Air Force Base and the Veteran’s Administration Outpatient Clinic in Oscoda for over 30 years. On March 15, 1980, she married Wallace Berg, in Greenbush, where they made their home. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2000. Gloria was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, and Adoration Coordinator. She was active with the Alcona County Relay for Life. She is survived by three sisters, Suzanne Beattie of Flat Rock, Patricia Ann (Greg) Rebovich of Strongstown PA, and Yvonne Marie (Mark) Reprogal of Parkers Prairie MN, one brother, Robert (Anna) Miks of Bentonville, AR, sister-in-law, Barbara Miks of Rochester MI, her stepchildren, Marcia King of Gray ME, and Rod (Julie) Berg of Turlock CA, six step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Frank Andrew Miks and one step daughter, Brenda Anderson. There will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville. Rev. Bob Bissot will officiate. Gloria’s family will receive visitors beginning at 9:30 A.M. that morning. Her ashes will be interred in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
