Ivola E. Edick, 105, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville. Born December 31, 1908 to John and Carrie (Stricklen) Woletz in St. Charles, MI, she was a longtime Flint resident. On December 20, 1934, she married Kenneth Wayne Edick in Angola, Indiana, and they moved to Lincoln in 1988. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1989. Ivola was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star Flint Chapter 138, and a dual life member of the Lincoln Chapter 184. She was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church. Ivola is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Galbraith, and three brothers, John Woletz, Robert Woletz, and Louis Snyder. Mrs. Edick is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Saturday, from 4 until 8 pm, with an OES service at 7:00 P.M.. Visitation will continue on Sunday at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral service at 2:00 P.M.. Rev. Linda Jo Powers will officiate. Burial will be Saturday, March 29, at 11:00 A.M. at the City of Flushing Cemetery. Memorial donations suggested to the Lincoln United Methodist Church Building Fund.
