Elsie Ruth Gaffney

Elsie Ruth Cox-Gaffney, 88 of Barton City died June 29, 2008 at Maple Grove AFC in Barton City. She was born February 12, 1920 in Russia to the late Gustuv & Wanda Leibelt Henke. Beloved mother of Richard (Gwen) Cox, of Barton City, William (Sherrie) Cox, and Sandra Wood, of Livonia and Elsie May Thornton of Farmington Hills, and Cathy Shamness, from North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Cox, her husband Edward Gaffney, and brothers Ewald & Alfred. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. There will be no funeral services. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home of Lincoln. Interment will be in Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.
