Pearl Ann Rogers, 69, of Mikado, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at St. Mary’s Standish Hospital. Born December 7, 1944 to John and Rita (Wojciechowski) Sayan in Wayne, MI, she was raised in Mikado. On October 9, 1964, she married Robert Rogers Sr. in Oscoda. They were residents of Mikado, where Pearl enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife in her backyard. She was a skilled artist, and enjoyed sketching, wood burning, and acrylic painting. She looked forward to her lottery tickets, and liked playing casino and card games on her handheld devices. Pearl is survived by her daughter Sherrie (Terry Leflay) Rogers of Oscoda, two sons, Robert Jr. (Tahlia Webb) Rogers of Oscoda, and John (Joyce Smith) Rogers of Mikado, five grandchildren, Bambi Marsh; Anthony Brensinger; Corey Taylor; and Clifford and Jamie Smith, and two great grandchildren, James Titsworth and Matthew Marsh. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 18, 2012. A memorial service will be held in the spring. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
