Violet D. Pletscher

Violet Dorothy Pletscher, 99, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville. Violet was born March 5, 1914, in Lincoln to Charles and Jessie Gertrude (Franklin) Ward. She was raised in Gustin Township and married Harry Pletscher on March 8, 1929. They were residents of Flint for a few years, returning to Gustin to farm. A homemaker and farmer, she was preceded in death by her husband on June 27, 1979. Violet worked in the Grandparents program and also helped students at Sprinkler Lake. She is survived by her daughter Sally Nedo of Harrisville and three grandchildren, Keith (Nancy) Nedo, Brenda (Brian) Lynn and Peggy (Bill) Bethuy, five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Herbert Nedo on January 11, 2010. Visitation will be Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 3 until 6:00 P.M.. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
