December 4, 1943 — June 15, 2008

Josephine E. “Sue” Hale, 64, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 4, 1943, to Howard and Grace (Anderson) Ritchie in Harrisville, she was a life long resident of Lincoln. Sue worked hard all of her life, doing janitorial work for many places, including Alcona Community Schools, area AIS homes, and the Secretary of State Alcona Branch in Harrisville. She was sexton of Twin Lakes Cemetery in Lincoln. Sue attended Faith Lutheran Church in Harrisville. She is survived by two daughters, Tammie (David) Felk of Metamora, Cindy (Randy) Sharboneau of Lincoln, two sons, Russell James “Rusty” (Kathy) Hale of Lincoln, and Howard (Carrie) Hale of Lincoln, six grandchildren, Russell Hale, Ashley Felk, Daniel Hale, Kelsey Hale, Cassandra Sharboneau and Lyndsey Sharboneau, and one great grandchild, Dakota Hale, one sister, Janice LaFave of Lincoln, one brother, Larry (Sandy) Ritchie of Lincoln, and her former husband, James Hale of Lincoln. Mrs. Hale is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where friends may call on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 2 until 9 pm. Visitation continues on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 12:00 pm, until the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Rev. Dennis Neigh will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
