Wayne F. Siebert, 64, of Barton City, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home. Born January 28, 1949 to Carl and Mary (Katona) Siebert in Barton City, he was raised there. Wayne graduated from Alcona High School in 1967 and from Michigan State University in 1971. A long time resident of Clio, Wayne worked at Zack Construction in Flint. He retired in 2002, and moved back to Barton City. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado, and of the Knights of Columbus Alcona Council #4235. Wayne was the chairman of the Millen Township Planning Committee, a member of the Zoning board, and was president of the Barton City Improvement Association. He was a member of the Barton City Eagles Aerie #4141. Wayne is survived by his sister, Arlene (Larry) Cirillo, of Barton City, two brothers, James and Fred (Kim) Siebert of Barton City, and two nephews, Jaydon and Joshua Siebert. Mr. Siebert is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Friday, December 27, from 3 until 8 PM. There will be a Parish K.C. Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 28 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado, from 10:00 AM until the funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Rev. Robert Bissot will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations are suggested to the Knights of Columbus Alcona Council #4235, or to the donor’s choice.
