Helen A. Sharboneau, 88, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at her home. Born on May 28, 1920 in Battle Creek to Stanley and Bertha (Elmer) Pinder, she was raised in Black River. On July 23, 1938, she married John “Jack” Sharboneau, and they were residents of Lincoln. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1974. Helen worked as a farmer and a homemaker, and served as director of the Alcona County Commission on Aging Senior Center (Lincoln) from 1974 until 1986. She was a member of Haynes Community Church and its Ladies Aide. She was active in the Farm Bureau, and as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting afghans. Helen is survived by four daughters, Margie Armstrong of Lincoln, Bertha Marshall of Bryan Texas, Delores Schlicker of Lincoln, and Dorothy Robere of Bryan Texas, two sons, Dale (Karen) Sharboneau of Lincoln, and Keith (Darlene) Sharboneau of Lachine. 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, as well as several step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, one sister, Ethel Lalonde of Canyon Lake Texas, two brothers, Emory (Mary) Pinder of Harrisville, and Cecil (Charlotte) Pinder of Harrisville, two sisters in law, Annie Anderson of Lincoln, and Bernice Somers of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by a brother Elmer Pinder. Mrs. Sharboneau is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Monday, June 9 from 7 until 9 pm, and on Tuesday, June 10 from 2 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be at held on Wednesday, June 11, at 1 pm at the funeral home, Rev. Claire Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
