M. Ruth Roberts

M. Ruth Roberts, 86 of Harrisville died Monday, November 7, 2005 in Midland. On September 29, 1919 she was born to John L. and Rachel K. (Campbell) Ritchie in Harrisville where she resided most of her life. On May 23, 1942 she married Morris M. Roberts, he preceded her in death in 1981. Ruth owned and operated Alcona Abstract in Harrisville for over 30 years, after retirement she resided in Tawas and then Midland. She was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary Alcona Post 6466 of Harrisville. Survivors include her sons, John R. (Caroline) Roberts of Midland and Michael G. (Lynn) Roberts of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 from 4 until 8 pm, at the Gillies Funeral Home in Harrisville. Visitation continues on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at 10 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Harrisville United Methodist Church with Rev. Travis DeWitt officiating.
