Francis (Frank) W. Dumont, age 79 of Mikado, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at home. He was born September 25, 1933 in Mikado to Emmet Amel and Mary Amelia (McGillis) Dumont. He was raised in Mikado and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he saw active duty. On September 25, 1954 Francis married Betty L. Hughes. They were residents of Pontiac from 1954 until his retirement, when they moved to Mikado. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church of Mikado. Frank was employed for many years by Consumers Energy as a supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Betty, five sons, Wayne of Mikado, David of Mikado, Richard of Pontiac, Kevin (Mary) of Holly and Michael of Lake Orion, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three sisters, Mary Bruce of Imlay City, Janice (Gene) Marion of Rochester, MI and Elaine Nimmoth of Imlay City and four brothers, John (Pat) of Ossineke, James (Carolyn) of Troy, Martin (Sonda) of Freeland and Joseph (Jacqueline) of Cadillac. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 9, 2013, from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where there will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.. Visitation continues Wednesday at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Mikado, from 9:00 A.M. Until the mass at 10:00 A.M.. Rev. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate. Burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery.
