Michael E. “Stosh” Mahalak, 22, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Alpena. Born on June 11 1985 in Alpena to Calvin Mahalak and Yolanda Newcombe, he was raised in Lincoln. Michael was employed by Miller Brothers Construction, and was a member of the Local 324. He loved hunting and enjoyed snowmobiling. He is survived by his parents, Yolanda and John Wynne of Lincoln, and Calvin and Marsha Mahalak of Barton City, a sister, Melissa Mahalak of Lincoln, a brother Justin (Erin) Mahalak of Lincoln, a step sister Michele (Ron) Wambold of Harrisville, a step brother Shawn Hall of Enumclaw, WA, grandparents, Mary Ann Mahalak of Lincoln, and Brian & Deanne Schemanski of Mikado, nieces and nephews Brett, Kaylee, and Jena Wambold of Harrisville, and Drew Hall of Enumclaw, WA, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Vincent Mahalak. Michael is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Wednesday, March 19, from 4 until 8 PM. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 20, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home, with Rev. Richard Karsen Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
