Eunice Dorrell

Eunice Nelson Dorrell, 88, of Spruce, MI, formerly of Stockton CA, passed away Tuesday, March 26, at home. Born December 9, 1924 to Clarence and Bertha (Witt) Nelson in Japton, Arkansas, she was raised there. She married Carl Edward Dorrell in 1948, and they were longtime residents of Stockton CA. He preceded her in death in 1992. Eunice was a devoted homemaker who loved cooking, baking, and gardening. She is survived by three daughters, Donna Hamann of Port Clinton OH, Dorinda (Curtis) Manson, of Corning CA, and Debra (Michael) Wnuk of Spruce, MI with whom Eunice resided the last six years. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and one brother, Dan Nelson of Rogers, Arkansas, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mable Jackson; Veda Imogene Goines, and Sybil Davis. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Gardens in Lodi, CA. Services were coordinated by Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Michigan services are private.
