Ronald Raymond Beyer

Ronald Beyer, 72, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in Hudson, Florida. Born August 27, 1940 to Roman and Gertrude (Wyzorski) Beyer in Detroit, he was raised in the Detroit area. On July 15, 1957, he married Sandra Jaffe, and they were residents of Wayne, MI. He was a member of the Teamsters, Local #337. Ron loved to fish, and in 2001, he moved to Harrisville, where he owned and operated Beyer Charter Boat Service. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville, and treasurer of the K of C Alcona Council 4235 and of the 3rd Degree. Ron is survived by his wife, Sandra, one daughter, Rona Beyer Avery of West Bloomfield, two sons, Bruce (Lori) Beyer of Farmington Hills; and Bryan (Beth) Beyer of Bloomfield, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, three sisters, Pat Mortan; Pauline Webster; and Pam (Gary) Cole, one brother, Roman (Joanna) Beyer, and his faithful canine companions, Fisher and Spice. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 3-8:00 P.M. with a 3rd Degree Honor Guard and K of C Rosary at 6:00 P.M. and prayers at 7: 00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville from 10:00 am until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Rev. Father Bob Bissot will officiate. Memorial donations suggested to the Alcona Humane Society or the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
