Mary Pearl McInerny, 78, of Hubbard Lake, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital of Petoskey. She was born May 9, 1934 to Earl F. and Emma L. (McCall) Pierce, in Spruce where she was raised. Mary was a Hubbard Lake resident most of her life. She was a member of the William Moore Post 6754 V.F.W. Auxiliary of Spruce where she was a past president and the Ossineke Eagles Aerie 3762 where she was a past president. She is survived by three daughters, Laurie Gauthier of Spruce, Mary Jo (Randy) Bell of Brighton and Melissa (Walter) Lobaugh of Spruce, four sons, Mike (Shawna) Scott of Ossineke, Patrick Scott of Spruce, Dennis (Pam) Scott and Chad (Christine) Kamischke, both of Black River,24 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and four sisters, Earlene Rea of Hillman, Patricia (Alfred) Eller of Ossineke, JoAnn (Don) Zelk of Isle Morada Fl and Janet Spigelmyre of Spruce. Mary was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Scott, one granddaughter, Elizabeth Lobaugh, one grandson Steven Scott and one great granddaughter, Micala Brilinski, one Daughter in law Dinah Scott and one son in law Dennis Gauthier, four brothers Richard Pierce, William Pierce, Earl Pierce and Jack Pierce and a sister in law, Daisy Pierce. Mary is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 4-8 P.M.. Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 A.M.. at the funeral home. Pastor Brenda Bailer will officiate. Burial will take place in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spruce, later in the Spring.
