Chester Kerridge Jr.,82,of Barton City, formerly of Flint, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at his home. Born August 5, 1930 to Chester and Julia (Snyder) Kerridge Sr. in Garnet, MI, he was raised there. On June 30, 1951, he married Doris Mooney in Newberry, MI, and they were longtime residents of Flint. Chester worked as a glass glazier for many years before retiring to Barton City in 1991. He enjoyed gardening, and took extreme pride in his yard and flowers. He was also an avid woodworker. Many of his yard ornaments and bird feeders are in his yard, attracting the birds he loved to watch. Chester is survived by his wife, Doris, one son, Charles (Donna) Kerridge of Corunna, three daughters, Julia (Edward) Rhodes of Fenton; Mary (Jeff) Shields of Flushing; and Cheryl (Scott Misener) Vorachek of Mundy Township, 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one sister, Marge Weager of Garnet, MI. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers. Mr. Kerridge is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be on Wednesday, March 13, from 12:00pm until the funeral service at 3 pm. Rev.
