Alex MacNeill

R. Alex MacNeill, 64, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1948 to Roy and Vivian “Sis” (Richmond) MacNeill in Colon, MI. Alex owned and operated R.A.M. Excavation in Clawson MI for many years before retiring in 2006. He enjoyed all types of racing, especially drag racing. He enjoyed travelling across the country to wherever the competition would take him. He was a good man, who was loved by many, and will be missed by all. Alex is survived by his mother, Vivian “Sis” MacNeill of Harrisville, one son, Alexander Longe, one brother, Larry (Therese) MacNeill, one sister, Pamela MacNeill Blankenship, and his loyal canine friend, Pogi. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy A. MacNeill, his sister, Patricia MacNeill, as well as his Rottweiler Rock. Cremation arrangements have been made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
