Elizabeth (Betty) McIntyre, 79, of Harrisville, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Saginaw St. Mary’s Hospital. Betty was born October 30, 1928 in Flint to John and Mary (Bennett) Lukes. She married George McIntyre January 28, 1961 and they have been Harrisville residents for many years. Betty was employed by District #2 Health Department, Alcona County, she retired in 1991. Betty was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and a lifelong member and Past Matron of Lincoln Chapter #184 Order of the Eastern Star. Betty is survived by her husband George, a daughter Wendy (Philip) Larkin of Taylor, and a son George L. (Denise) of Durand, five grandsons, four step grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Beth McIntyre on October 2, 2007 and an infant daughter, Gail. Her family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 1, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Harrisville. At 2:00 P.M, an O.E.S. Service will be held, followed by a memorial officiated by Rev. Tom Welscott. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Order of the Eastern Star, Lincoln Chapter #184 or the Alpena Dialysis Center. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
