Siegfried Rimatzki

Siegfried (Sid) Rimatzki age 72 of Spruce passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 near his home at Hubbard Lake. He was born October 3, 1940 in Germany to Jacob and Lydia (Krebbs) Rimatzki. In 1952 he emigrated to the U.S. with his family to North Dakota. On June 4, 1960, he married Sharon Sefernick in Southfield. They were Southfield residents for 43 years, moving to Spruce in 2003. He worked at Fisher Body of Livonia, retiring after 30 years in 1989. He was a member of the New Life Lutheran Church of Spruce and the Hubbard Lake Sportsmen’s Club. Sid was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived his wife and by two daughters, Christine Marie Graham of Port Huron, Stephanie Ann (Dennis) Krogstad of Howell, two sons, Thomas Joseph (Beth Anne) Rimatzki of Livonia and Jay Siegfried (Alisa Dawn) Rimatzki of Livingston NJ., one sister, Erna Eldmann of Minot ND, Five brothers, Werner (Linda) of Farmington Hills, Edward (Terry) of Waterford, Carl (Karen) of White Lake, Donald (Jane) of Walled Lake, and Bruno (Barbara) of Minot ND., 11 grandchildren , Stanley Terrell, Jacob, Hunter, Joshua, Emma, Noah, Anna, Abe, and Ellie Rimatzki, and Olivia and Anders Krogstad. Visitation is Thursday January 31, 2013 from 4-8 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. On Friday he will be taken to New Life Lutheran Church, 25 Kirche in the Woods, Spruce, where visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral at 11:00 A.M.. Rev. Crissy Bright will officiate. Memorials suggested to the New Life Lutheran Church Building fund or the Hubbard Lake Sportsman’s Club.
