Mary Bylo Zrolka passed away January 16, 2013 at Rolling Acres Adult Foster Care Home in Ossineke, MI at the age of 99. She was born to Michael and Anna Bylo on January 1, 1914 in East St. Louis, Illinois. Mary married Nicholas Zrolka on September 21, 1940 at Sts. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Detroit, where they made their home. Mary worked as an executive secretary at Detroit Gasket for several years before retiring to Lost Lake Woods Club in Lincoln, MI. For over 20 years they were active members of the club. Mary was always ready for a rousing game of Pinochle, and enjoyed helping in the kitchen at New Life Lutheran Church, and loved spending time with her family. Mary was a loving mother to Layne (Leonard) Barraco, of Spruce, and Richard Zrolka of San Jose, CA, adoring grandmother to Tia Barraco, Nick Barraco, and Tracey Barraco, and great grandmother to Robert, Tiffany, Tyler, and Mia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas on May 29, 1999, one brother, Michael, and sisters, Helen, Ann, and Margaret. A private family service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
