Marlene L. Corteg

Marlene L. Corteg, 81, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born October 15, 1931, to Harold and Caroline (Olsen) Hertz in Detroit, MI, she was raised there and in Traverse City. On December 20, 1954, she married Walter Corteg in Angola, IN, and they were residents of Shelby Township for 26 years before moving to Harrisville in 1994. Marlene enjoyed her collection of dolls and other figurines, a longtime hobby. She is survived by her husband, Walter, four sons, Christopher Corteg; Walter Corteg; Kevin Corteg; and Michael Corteg, three grandchildren, Christopher Corteg; Rachael Cosgrove; and Carolee Corteg, and one great grandson, Cohen Corteg. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Corteg, and one sister. Mrs. Corteg is at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville, where visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, from 10 am until the funeral service at 2 pm.
