Robert M Huffine

Robert M. Huffine, 82, of Harrisville, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville. Born November 12, 1930 to Charles and Faye (Reynolds) Huffine in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was raised there. He joined the United States Naval Reserves, and then the United States Air Force, where he served in Korea. On May 26, 1956, he married Patricia Grandpre in Dearborn, Michigan. They were residents of Oscoda, before moving to Harrisville in 1963. Bob worked as an over the road trucker with R and W Service System. He enjoyed golfing and working in his garden and yard. He was especially proud of his beautiful apple orchard. He attended the Solid Rock Church of God in Harrisville. Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Diana (Michael) Tennes of Charlotte, MI; two sons, Douglas (Jeanne) Huffine of Summerville, SC and David (Sherrie) Huffine of Perry, MI; eight grandchildren, Michael and Mark Huffine, and Rebecca, Katelynn, Elizabeth, Ryan, Anna and John Tennes, several great grandchildren; three sisters, Charlene Roach of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Janet Pitcock of Plainfield, IN, and Marilyn Landon of Nakomis, FL; one brother, Richard Huffine of Indianapolis, IN; and by his faithful feline friend, Callie. There will be a memorial service Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Solid Rock Church of God in Harrisville at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Edward Morrison will officiate.
