Terry L. Potvin, 63, of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Saginaw Covenant Cooper Hospital. Born December 20, 1948 to Ernest and Vivian (Johnson) Potvin in Alpena, he was raised in Harrisville. He graduated from Alcona High School in 1967. Terry joined the United States Army, and served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was a longtime resident of Ann Arbor, where he owned and operated Terry’s Carpet Cleaning, and worked as a cook. In 2003, he returned to Harrisville to care for his mother. He is survived by his mother; Vivian Potvin, and two nephews; Kyle (Nicole) Potvin and Bryan Potvin . He was preceded in death by his father on December 19, 1002, and by his brother, Robert, on November 16, 2002. Terry is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 11 am until the funeral at 2 pm. Rev. Claire Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
