John R. Christopherson

John R. Christopherson, 82, of Lincoln (Lost lake Woods Club), died Monday, January 14, 2008 Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehab Community. John was born May 20, 1925 in Appleton WI to Arthur and Edna (Youtz) Christopherson. He was raised in Flint and served in the Army during WWII where he was a German prisoner of war. John married Norma Hanna on August 22, 1947 in Flint. They were residents of Flint moving to Flushing in 1952 and then to Lincoln (Lost Lake Woods Club) in 1988. He was a longtime salesman in electrical supply. He was preceded in death by his son Norman Christopherson on January 4, 2000 and his brother Arthur Christopherson. Survivors include his wife and one daughter, Jan (John) Batzley of Safety Harbor, FL; daughter-in-law Gladys of Grand Blanc, MI; two grandchildren, Sean and Eric. His family will receive friends from Noon until the memorial service at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 17, 2008, with Rev. Robert Eidson officiating at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
