Chester Arthur Sipsock Jr. passed away at his home on November 4 2012. He was born July 30, 1944, in Staten Island, New York to Chester A. Sipsock Sr. and Anne (nee Dowhy) Sipsock. He lived in the Detroit area before moving to Medina in 1980. He attended Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit before leaving to attend St. Anthony High School where he graduated in 1962. He graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1966 and received his Masters from Central Michigan University in 1968. He was employed for 23 years as a manager with the U.S. General Accounting Office in direct support of various congressional committees and sub-committees. In April 1990, he was appointed Director of the NASA Office of Inspector General at the Lewis Research Center in Cleveland where he reported directly to a Presidential Appointee in Washington, D.C. He retired from the federal government in September 2004 after 38 years of devoted government service. He was also a part owner of JMT Group, Freight Specialists, a freight expediting and dedicated trucking company in Medina and of Jacor LLC, a staffing company which was also headquartered in Medina. He served as the Chief Financial Officer to the companies which had five corporations and 2 human resource divisions. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice (Blood); daughters, Vicki Grimmett of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Laura Sipsock of Mount Clemens, Michigan; sons, Keven (Jennifer) Sipsock of Medina, Eric (Lisa) Sipsock of Medina, and Brandon Sipsock of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; brothers, Stephen (Valerie) Sipsock of Sterling Heights, Michigan and Charles Sipsock of Clarkston, Michigan; sisters, Nola (Jim) Saltsman of Venice, Florida and Paula (Larry) Stewart of Sterling, Michigan; grandchildren, Kisston and Matthew Hules of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Brittany Grimmett of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Aryana Rowlings of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Haley and Skylar Sipsock of Medina, Ohio, Pearle Sipsock of Mount Clemens, Michigan and Olivia and Jadyn Sipsock of Medina, Ohio, and great grandson, Logan Hules. He also leaves his long-time special friend and golfing partner, Robert Zufra. He will be missed by his cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many, many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Sipsock. Prayer Service: 2:00 on November 7, 2012 at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, Michigan. Father Robert Bissot will officiate. A reception will be held immediately thereafter at Mariah Hall in Harrisville, Michigan. Visiting Hours: 12:00 – 2:00 on November 7, 2012 at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, Michigan. Burial: His remains will be buried in Mount Joy Cemetery in Harrisville, Michigan.
