James M. Grace,72, of Lincoln died Friday, November 2, 2012 at home. He was born April 5, 1940 in Alpena to William and Gretchen (Freese) Grace in Alpena. Jim was raised in Alpena and married Darlene Somers on September 9, 1961. They were residents of Alpena, moving to Lincoln in 1977. He retired after 42 years as an electrician for Abitibi of Alpena. For many years he served on the Alcona County Fair Board where he had been president. He was a longtime 4H leader and was an avid fisherman, particularly like fishing for brown trout. Jim loved hunting, watching NASCAR and wintering in Florida. He was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Darlene, one daughter, Sheri Reynolds of Lincoln, one granddaughter Megan (Eric) LaCross, one grandson, Jordan (Sarah) Reynolds, one great granddaughter, Ashlyn Grace LaCross, one sister, Carol Johnson of Missouri and several nieces and nephews. His sister, Alene Pellegrino preceded him in death. Visitation will be Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 2:00-7:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. The funeral will be at the funeral home, Monday, November 5,2012 at 2:00 P.M.. Rev Linda Jo Powers will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery Lincoln. Memorials suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
