Raymond T. Cavin, 65, of Wyandotte, formerly Lincoln and Barton City died peacefully Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Wyandotte Hospital at 7:45pm, surrounded by family. He was born on December 16, 1946 to Oscar and Leona Cavin in Detroit, Michigan, where he was raised until high school. Mr. Cavin graduated high school in 1968 from Alcona High. Mr. Cavin completed some college and skilled trade courses, and worked in varying areas from being a chef, to a payroll delivery man. Mr. Cavin did retire from the State of Michigan as a facilities employee at Walter Reuther Hospital (formerly Eloise) in 1988. Mr. Cavin married his second wife, Charlotte Ann Sturgeon, on October 21, 1995, in Trenton, Mi., they resided in Southgate, Romulus, Lincoln, and Wyandotte during their 17 year marriage. Mr. Cavin is survived by his wife, Charlotte and his sister Virginia Gauthier from Sterling Heights. Mi. He has many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, even great-great nieces and nephews, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by one sister, Lorene McLaughlin and his first wife, Linda Kay Scripter. Visitation will be at two locations: Wednesday, October 17, 2012, from 4pm – 9pm at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home at 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, Mi. 48180 and on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Gillies Funeral Home, in Lincoln from 11am until the funeral service at 1pm. Pastor Chrissy Bright will officiate.
