Delmar Gordon McGuire

Delmar G. McGuire, 92, Lincoln, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Lincoln Haven Rehab and Nursing Community. Born February 5, 1915 in Mikado to James and Alexina (Procunier) McGuire. Delmar was a Mikado resident most of his life. Delmar married Bessie Harmon on August 17, 1935. He was a logger for many years, working with family in their own operation. Delmar was a member of the Mikado Community of Christ Church. Bessie preceded him in death on July 23, 1996. On July 18, 1997 he married Helen (Harris) Procunier, later moving to Lincoln. Survivors include his wife and two sons, Sanford (Delores) of Delta, Colorado and Irvin (Rosemary) of Mikado, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Harmon of Lincoln and Gertrude (Clifford) McDonough of Mikado and numerous nieces and nephews, five brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at the Mikado Community of Christ Church on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 1 P.M... Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
