Phillip William O'Connor

Phillip William O’Connor, 83 of Barton City died Friday, November 30, 2007 at home. He was born in Fairview to Philip and Clara (Gillette) O’Connor on January 6, 1924. Raised in Fairview he served in the Navy in WWII. Phillip married Ruth Geneva Peake on November 28, 1947. He was a longtime resident of Taylor, where he was employed as a lineman for Detroit Edison, retiring and moving to Barton City in 1987. Phillip was preceded in death by his son, Mike on May 22, 2002. Survivors include his wife, one daughter Phyillis (Joe) DeBuck of East Tawas, two sons Pat of Detroit and Tim (Denise) of Woodhaven, three sisters Dean Flore, Syble Copeland, and Carmon Weiderhold, three brothers Jerry , Harry and Otis , one half brother Lewis Spencer, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
