Barbara Ann Gifford Huff Died in her home on November 10, 2007 surrounded by her loved ones after a valiant fight against cancer. She was born 9/21/1933 in Vale, Kentucky the sixth of 9 children to John Leslie & Desi Ferol (Withrow) Ward. Barbara moved to Royal Oak in 1950 and married R.D. Gifford on January 31, 1953, he preceded her in death on March 13, 1984. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 16 years, David Neil Huff , seven children and their families; Pamela(David) Ashford, Cynthia (James) Smith, Lawrence (Donna) Gifford, Kevin (Dawn) Huff , Scott (Lisa) Gifford, Douglas Huff and Martha (Greg) Kunze. 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive her. She was a 45 year resident of Alcona County, a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church, an avid gardener, hobby farmer, herbalogist, family historian, and writer of short stories and poetry. Barb was a former Sunday school teacher, 4-H leader and Hospice volunteer. She was involved most recently with her church committees. She loved spending time with her church family and good friends. Her husband, all her children, grands and greats were her life’s central focus. She valued highly and enjoyed a wonderful relationship with her many nieces, nephews and her sisters. Visitation for Mrs. Huff and her family will be held at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, MI on Monday, Nov.12, 2007 , 2:00-8:00 P.M., also on Tuesday Nov.13 at Lincoln United Methodist Church from 11:00A.M. until the funeral service at 1:00P.M., with Rev. Tracy Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Barton City, MI . Donations may be made to Lincoln United Methodist Church, Hospice of Michigan-Northeastern Region 112 W.
