Marvin W. Hart Sr, 66, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Ann Arbor V.A. Hospital. Born July 1, 1946 to Harry and Evelyn (Pelton) Hart in National City, MI, he was raised in Mikado. Marvin served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After the war, Marvin lived in Glennie, before moving to Lincoln. An avid outdoorsman, Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bird watching. He was a member of the American Legion, Oscoda Post #274, and a former member of the Mikado Goodfellows. He was a member of the Solid Rock Church of God in Harrisville. He is survived by four daughters; Kimberly Hoenle (Lenny Franklin), and Elizabeth Rifenbark of Harrisville, Barbara Sullivan and Lisa Carroll of Union City, MI, two sons; Daniel and David Phiefer of Newberry, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, dear friend and companion Debra Rifenbark, two sisters; Harriet (Gary) Moody of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joyce (Mike) Bulich of Rapid City, SD, and two brothers; Bob Hart of Harrisville, and Lloyd (Cheryl) Hart of Curtisville. He was preceded in death by three sons; Marvin Hart Jr, Dennis Hart, and Bucky Hart, three sisters; Geraldine Hart, Deanna Schemanski, and Delores Bean, and three brothers; Harvey, Paul and Jerry Hart. Mr. Hart is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Rev. Jimmie Bean will officiate. Burial will be in Springport Cemetery, Harrisville.
