Sophie Josephine Wudyka

Sophie J. Wudyka, 88, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Jamieson Nursing Home. Born May 10, 1919 in Detroit to Andrew and Joanne Kotowski, she was raised there. Sophie was married to Anthony Wudyka on October 3, 1936 in Detroit. They resided in Detroit, moving to Plymouth and then in 1946 moving to Lincoln. Sophie was a longtime factory worker while a resident of the Detroit Area. Her husband preceded her in death on June 2, 1994. Survivors include two children, one daughter, June (James) LeCuyer of Oscoda and one son Richard of Mountain, Idaho, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her sister Jennie Cox of Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Her ashes will be interred in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
