Ronald D. Jilbert, 62, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born August 3, 1949 to Douglas and Josephine (Barich) Jilbert in Detroit, he was raised there. On September 12, 1970, he married Patricia McKenzie in Detroit. They moved to Harrisville in 1974. Ron founded Byron Tool in 1978 which incorporated into Huron Tool of Lincoln in 1980. He was a lifelong member of the Lincoln Lions and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Brian (Michelle) Jilbert of Garden City and Kevin (Amalia Welch) Jilbert of Tampa Florida, a granddaughter, Olivia Welch, his mother Josephine Jilbert of Melvindale, one sister, Diana (Larry) Devereaux of Detroit, his mother in law, Eleanor McKenzie of Harrisville and his dog Miekah. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home of Lincoln. Services will be private. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Advantage, Hospice of Michigan and the Alpena Regional Cancer Center.
