Margaret A. Halgren

Margaret A. Halgren age 86, of Barton City, died Friday June 8, 2012 at home. She was born November 8, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio to Ralph and Lyndall (Crossan) Halgren. She was raised in Detroit and Royal Oak, receiving her Bachelor degree from Wayne State University. She has been a frequent visitor to Barton City since her childhood, moving there in April 2012 from Dearborn. She wintered in Florida for many years. Margaret was a quilter and Artist, specializing in water colors. She worked in the Craftmakers Cabin in Harrisville and displayed her art in the Dragon Fly Art Gallery of Harrisville. She was the 2012 winner of Harrisville’s Wine and Food Festival Poster contest. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Miller of Delray Beach, Florida her son; Mark (Betsy) Malanyn of Barton City, four grandchildren; Andrew, Lauren, Katelyn and Maria Malanyn and one brother; Ralph (Velora) Halgren of Clearwater, Florida.
