Marilyn L. Brown

Marilyn Brown, age 78, of Harrisville died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at home. She was born August 4, 1933 in Detroit to Rolph and Evelyn (Neibert) Merck. She was raised in Detroit and married Jerome Brown on January 22, 1982 in Howell. They were residents of Brighton moving to Harrisville in November 2001. Marilyn had been employed at the Accounting Firm of Brednitz-Wagoner as a Secretary-Receptionist before retiring. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Harrisville, the Order of Eastern Star, Lincoln Chapter #184, Sunrise Side Woodcarvers of Oscoda and the Northeast Michigan Doll Club, Alpena. She is survived by her husband and two daughters; Tina Marsh of Golden Colorado and Debbie Nelson of Howell, MI, two sons; James (Julie) Heacock of Milan, MI and Bill Brown of Golden, Colorado, six grandchildren; Aaron Schaefer, Abby Marsh, Andy Brown, Amanda Nelson, Alex Nelson and Ashley Nelson, one great-grandson; Adrian Brown, one brother; Robert Merck of Livonia, MI and one Aunt; June Timmons of Bear Lake, MI.. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, 4:00 P.M. at the Westminster Church, Harrisville, Rev. Thomas Welscott will officiate. Her family will receive friends beginning at 2:30. An order of Eastern Star service will be held at the church at 3:30 P.M. on that day. Memorials suggested to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Order of Eastern Star, Lincoln Chapter #184.
