Elsie Kathryn Healy

Elsie K. Healy, 95, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born July 21, 1916, to Joseph and Charlotte (Lane) Dellar in Harrisville, she was a lifelong resident. On January 28, 1951, she married Milford Healy. They were partners at Jensen and Healy, where they sold Case Tractors, farm implements, and Buick automobiles. In 1958 they purchased a dairy farm, and moved there to work full time in 1960. Milford preceded her in death on August 22, 1997. Elsie was a devoted homemaker, who enjoyed her garden and canning what she grew. She loved her family, and enjoyed baking, especially apple pies and loved animals. Elsie is survived by her son; Steven (Karen) Healy of Harrisville, two grandsons; Ian (Karol) Healy of Saline and Aaron (Sara) Healy of Lincoln, four great grandchildren; Adele, Ana, Juliette, and Henrik Healy, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Hazel Green, and Helen Gabrielson, and two brothers; Ernest and Lawrence Dellar. Mrs. Healy is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where friends may call on Wednesday, May 23 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 24 from 11:00 until the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Rev. Laraine Sundin will officiate. Memorial donations suggested to the ACCOA, Lincoln Senior Center.
