Doris A. Byron, 77, of Oscoda died Friday, May 18, 2012 at home. She was born March 15, 1935 in Saginaw to Chester and Mary (Jonitz) Kundinger. Doris graduated from Oscoda High School and lived in Oscoda most of her life. She loved the outdoors including gardening, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed cooking and followed the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. Doris is survived by two daughters; Sheryl (Ken) Foster of Oscoda and Rhonda (Robert)Hart of Saginaw, two sons; Frank Byron of Oscoda and Rodney Byron of Saginaw, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, two brothers; William Kundinger of Saginaw Robert (Hazel) Kundinger of Florida. She was preceded in death by a sister, Muriel Pasterz and her brothers, Don, James and Chester Kundinger. Mrs. Byron is at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville, were friends may call on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. and resume on Tuesday, May 22, at 10:00 A.M. until Funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Hazel Kundinger will officiate. Funeral arrangements were handled by Gillies Funeral Home.
