M. "Yvonne" Russell

M. Yvonne Russell, age 76, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Tendercare Alpena. She was born October 10, 1935 in Drayton Plains, MI to Virgil and Nancy Mitchell. On April 14, 1972 she married Ronald Russell in Pontiac. They were residents of Pontiac and Clarkston moving to Black River in 1988. Yvonne was a commercial loan officer for First Federal and later worked for Banner Realty where she was an office manager. An accomplished singer, she graduated from Interlochen and studied piano at Michigan State University. She was a member of the Alcona Friends of the Library. Yvonne is survived by her husband, Ronald and two brothers; Robert (Cissie) Mitchell of Georgia, and Quinton (Sharon) Mitchell of Arizona. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
