Jean M. Mead, 84, of Lincoln (LLWC), formerly of Flushing, died April 12, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Mead was born October, 8, 1927, in Missouri; she was the daughter of James and Lena (King) Walls. She married Lawrence Mead on March 6, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1989. Moving to the Lincoln area in 1982, Mrs. Mead volunteered for various committees and organizations. She was a member of the Lincoln First Baptist Church, and Lost Lake Woods Club. Survivors include three sons; James (Kathleen) Mead of Lincoln, Jerry (Rita) Mead of Montrose, and Larry Mead of Bay City, and one daughter; Joyce (Ron) Alexander of Franklin Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Brett, Carl, Casey, Chad, Keri, Stephen, Kristine, Audrianne, Jacquelyn, and Christopher; eighteen great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mead is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Saturday, April 14 from 4 until 7 PM, and on Sunday, April 15, from 3 until 7 PM. Funeral Services will be on Monday, April 16, at 11:00 am at the Lincoln First Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, April 17 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Cemetery in Flint.
