Linda T. Edwards, 64, of Black River, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012. Linda was born August 11, 1947 to Max and Marguerite (Silveus) Taylor in McComb, OH. A graduate of Bryan High School in Ohio, Linda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University. She taught High School English, Speech, and Drama. On August 10, 1968, she married B. Scott Edwards III in Bryan OH, and they were residents of Madison WI before moving to Lincoln (LLWC) in 1995, and more recently to Black River. Linda was an active member of the Alpena First United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed bible study, and had worked as the Education Director. She was an avid reader, and read anything she could. In retirement, she was able to work as a substitute teacher in the Alcona Community School system. She also enjoyed basket weaving as well as loom weaving, playing bridge and the piano. She is survived by her husband; B. Scott Edwards III, two daughters; Lindsay (Troy) Barber of Ferndale, and Katherine (Craig) Williamson of North Muskegon, one granddaughter; Tallulah Barber, Katherine is expecting Linda’s second grandchild later this year. Also surviving is one sister; Jennifer Thompson of Toledo OH, one brother; Jeffrey (Patty) Taylor of Montpelier, OH, her mother; Marguerite Taylor of Bryan OH, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Max in 1992. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Alpena First United Methodist Church, 167 S. Ripley Blvd. Rev. Gene Beacon will officiate. Cremation arrangements were made by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorial donations suggested to Hope House, an adult foster care home dedicated to Linda; 11 W.
