Ashley N. Scott, 19, of Greenbush, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Saginaw St. Mary’s Hospital. Born February 7, 1993 to Scott and Sheila (Przybylinski) Scott in Tawas City, MI, she was a lifelong resident of Greenbush. A 2011 graduate of Oscoda High School, Ashley was a freshman at Grand Valley State University, where she was studying exercise medicine and nutrition. She was very athletic, and enjoyed running and playing softball, basketball, and volleyball. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville. Ashley loved her family and friends dearly, and would have done anything for them. Ashley’s final act of kindness was as a donor for Gift of Life. She is survived by her parents; Scott and Sheila Scott of Greenbush, her sister; Katlyn Scott and her brother; Michael Scott, her maternal grandparents; Helen and Tony Przybylinski, her paternal grandmother; Bonnie Scott, her great grandparents; Helen Gaz, Elizabeth Przybylinski, and Lola Haskin, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Linda and Robert Farnum and Ralph Russell Scott Sr., and her great grandfathers; Louis Gaz and William Haskin. Ashley is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Friday, March 9 from 4 until 9 pm, with a Rosary service at 8pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville from 10 am until the Funeral Mass at 11 am. Rev. Lawrence Boks will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Harrisville. Memorial donations made to Ashley’s family will be used to establish a scholarship fund in her name.
