Melinda M. LaFave

Melinda Marie (Bushéy) LaFave (47) passed from this earth to Heaven on Monday, February 27, 2012. She is survived by her daughters Amber Lynn LaFave (25); Alisha Lou LaFave (20), and her grandson Chase Hale LaFave (6) (all of Alpena). She is also survived by her sisters: Ruth Ann Warner of Amherst Virginia; Kelly Lynn Bushéy of Naples, Florida; Becky Lou Hart (Jack Hart) of Lakewood, Colorado and Brenda Mae Brilinski Hughes (Daniel Hughes) of Easley, South Carolina; her stepfather Dennis Arthur Brilinski (Mary Lee) of Piedmont, South Carolina; and her fiancé, Stephen John Hill of Alpena, Michigan, several cousins, and Aunts and Uncles. She was deeply loved by all of her nieces and nephews: Daniel, Jonathan, Stephen, James, Victoria, Lovelee, Philip, Joshua, Morgan, Thomas, Jackson, Annie, and Phillip. She was preceded by her Father Russell James Bushéy; Mother Emmy Lou Hale, and her brother Thomas Russell James Bushéy. Melyn’s favorite verse is Hebrews 11:1: What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Melinda is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Friday from 6 until 8 pm. Visitation continues on Saturday at 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm.
