Elden P. Keyser, 60, of Barton City, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born April 29, 1951 to Kenneth and Sylvia (Meyer) Keyser in Bay City, he was raised there. On July 8, 1983, he married Denise LaFond, and they were residents of Bay City until moving to Harrisville in 1984, and later to Barton City. Elden loved swimming, and was a record holder at John Glenn High School in Bay City. He also enjoyed travelling. He worked as a farmer, and loved his wife and kids. He was a history enthusiast, and enjoyed learning about American history and the military. He is survived by his wife; Denise, six children; Matthew (Jessica) Keyser of Greenbush, Beth Keyser of Saginaw, Lisa Keyser of California, Darnelle Keyser of Lansing, Anne Keyser of Barton City, and Patrick Keyser of Sault Ste. Marie MI, eight grandchildren; Trinity, Brielle, Jaxen, Ellyanna, Kylie and Dustin Keyser, and Kamron and Kaden Cogswell, and three brothers; Alpha (Viki) Keyser of Sarasota FL, Terry Keyser of Ft, Lauderdale FL, and Dave (Deborah) Keyser of Harrisville. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Melanie Joy Keyser, his parents; Kenneth and Sylvia Keyser, and a sister; Nancy Keyser. A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Alcona Senior Center on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
