Louise Indish

Louise Indish, 84, of Harrisville, passed away at Munson Memorial Hospital in Traverse City on January 11, 2012 in the presence of her family and comfort of her faith. Louise was born to Wilson and Laura (McNeil) Teeple on February 12, 1927. After graduating from Oscoda High, she earned a three year Diploma Nursing Degree from Butterworth Hosptial in Grand Rapids, MI. She worked at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Avon Center in Rochester, and retired from Alpena General Hospital in 1990. Louise was a source of personal courage for those who knew her, and was blessed with a long retirement in which her greatest joys where gardening and spending time with children and grandchildren. She enjoyed ice cream, sweets, KFC, and listening to the radio and tv, and her companion cat, Simon. She is survived by four children Randy of St. Clair Shores, Rod (Dara) of Mikado, Rebecca Welton (Chuck) of Pinconning, and Ramona Lyons (Tom) of Traverse City; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; three sisters; Betty Freer (Bob) and Marlene Conklin of Harrisville, Linda Treece (Emmet), Florida . A son Rick Indish, grandson Timothy Indish, sisters Wanda and Harriet Schrade, brother Willis Teeple preceded her in death. Mrs. Indish is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 3 until 9 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday January 14, at 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ossineke. Rev. Dennis Neigh and Rev. Barton Gray will officiate. Interment will be in Springport Cemetery in the Spring. Memorial donations suggested to local Lions organizations.
