Barbara Elizabeth Manthei

Barbara E. Manthei, 78, of Lincoln, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at the Justus Adult Foster Care Home in Lincoln. She was born February 9, 1933 in Mikado to John and Myrtle (Pollock) Michaud. She was raised in East Detroit. Barbara married Gerald Manthei on November 6, 1965. They were residents of Roseville, Moving to Mikado in 1983. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Barton City. Her husband preceded her in death on March 1, 2003, Barbara later moved to Lincoln. Survivors include her stepchildren, Gary (Doris) Manthei and Karen (Thomas) Driscoll, four sisters, Bertha (Mac) McLaughlin, Patricia (Tom) Polk, Noreen (Monty) Kruttlin and Norma (Mark) Charron, four brothers, Stanley (Gloria) Michaud, Roger (Anita) Michaud, Dennis (late wife Sue) Michaud and Fred (Marianne) Michaud. Two sisters, Lois Bradley and Myrna Furister, one brother Bernard Michaud and two half brothers, Henry Michaud and Jacques Perry preceded her in death. Friends may call Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where the funeral will be held at 1:00 P.M., Rev. Laraine Sundin will officiate.
