Robert "Fuzz" Donakowski

Robert “Fuzz” Donakowski, 66, of Black River, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born March 24, 1945 to Anthony and Ursula (Buza) Donakowski in Alpena, he was raised there. Robert served in the US Army in Vietnam. He worked for A/C Spark Plug in Flint for 32 years. On December 18, 1982, he married Sherry Minzey in Flint. They were residents of Columbiaville moving to Black River in 1996. An avid outdoorsman, Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife; Sherry, his stepson; Christopher Lash of Saginaw, four sisters; Bernadette Donakowski of Shell Beach CA, Delores (Chester) Timmreck of Alpena, Betty (Al) Dege of Posen, and Karen Donakowski of Alpena, two brothers; Terry (Sheri) Donakowski of Alpena and Gerald (Barbara) Donakowski of Arnold CA. He was preceded in death by his son; Anthony and by two brothers; Richard and Frank Donakowski. Cremation arrangements were handled through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
