Juanita M. Compeau

Juanita M. Compeau, 88, of Spruce, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born June 15, 1923, in Wyandotte, she was raised there and in South Rockwood. On January 10, 1942, she married James Edward Compeau in South Rockwood. After WW2, they moved to Rockwood. James preceded her in death in July 1974. Juanita moved to Spruce in 1976. Juanita was an animal lover, who also enjoyed tending to her flowers. She could often be found looking at the birds on her back deck. She is survived by one son; James (Sandra) Compeau of Rockwood, one daughter; Kay (Terry) Gapen of Algonac, four grandchildren; Kim, James (Debra), Tim (Chris), and Terry Compeau, nine great grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and by her close special friend; Darlene Stevens of Hubbard Lake. She was preceded in death by her sister; Louise Egan. Cremation arrangements were handled by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
