Emagene Smith ,71, Harrisville died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Tendercare Nursing Home, Tawas City. Born March 3, 1940 to Leslie and Marie (Fletcher) Marshall in Salsyerville, Kentucky, she married Arlie Smith on April 8, 1972. They moved to Barton City in 1979. Emagene was a nurse’s aide, and a care giver, and owned and operated Whispering Pines Adult Foster Care in Barton City fron 1989 until 2009. She was a member of the Solid Rock Church of God in Harrisville. She is survived by her husband Arlie, her daughter, Betty Fletcher of Harrisville, her son, A.J. (Melissa) Smith of Harrisville, her sister, Annie Marshall of Coldwater, MI, two brothers, John Marshall of Michigan Center, MI and Herman Marshall of Ohio, her stepson, Daniel (Debra) Smith of Barton City and her step- daughter Cindy (Ken) Goodemoot of Barton City, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers; German Marshall. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 3P.M. to 5 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home Lincoln. Visitation will continue Thursday at the Solid Rock Church of God, Barlow Road, Harrisville, from 10 A.M. until the Funeral at 11:00 A.M.. Rev Edward Morrison will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Barton City, MI.
