Norman E. Good, 80, of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born March 23, 1931 to Russell and Eva (Procunier) Good in Mikado, he was raised there. On June 23, 1956, he married Sue Conklin, and they were residents of Harrisville. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Norman worked for the Alcona Seed Growers, making deliveries. An avid baseball fan, Norman enjoyed listening to Detroit Tigers games. He was the second baseman for the former Gustin Gophers, and coached little league teams. He was a member of the V.F.W. Alcona Post #6466 of Harrisville. He is survived by two sons; Bob (Lenore) Good of Livonia and Blake (Chris) Good of Oxford, four grandchildren; David, Graham, Ashley, and Kristie Good, three brothers; Loren Good of Mt. Clemens, Merle (Arlene) Good of Harrisville, and Art (Evelyn) Good of Lincoln, one brother-in-law; Bob Hickey of Mikado, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; Sue on May 14, 2007, one sister; Roxie Ann Hickey, one brother; Gilbert Good, and one sister in law; Shirley Good. Mr. Good is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be on Saturday, from 4 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be Sunday at 2 pm at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Karsen Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Springport Cemetery, Harrisville. Memorial donations suggested to the Lincoln Senior Center.
