Franklin E. “Frank” Lawson, 78, of Harrisville, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at his home. Born February 24, 1933, to Howard and Anna (McDonnel) Lawson in Palmyra MI, he was raised in Petersburg. On June 6, 1953, he married Suzanne Burrow in Temperance, and they were residents of Ypsilanti. Frank served in the United Stated Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a Telephone Repairman for Michigan Bell until he retired in 1986. In 1998, he moved to Harrisville. Frank was an avid golfer, and enjoyed watching sports. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Oscoda. He is survived by his wife; Suzanne, two daughters; Debra (Bill) Bake of Mikado, and Susan (Bill) Popp of Willis, MI, one son; David (Robin) Lawson of Ypsilanti, seven grandchildren; Glenn Bake, Jason Lawson, Jennifer Lawson, Tecole Jarvis, James Bake, Amie Bake and Dustin Bawden, and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Mr. Lawson is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 5, from 3 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 6 at 11 am at the funeral home. Pastor Glenn Bake will officiate. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor.
